The tool which will give a basic level of data which is free and still has capabilities to shape user journeys is Google Analytics 4. You will be able to interpret data such as time spent on specific pages, page bounce rates and you can also map where users have dropped off the website. The second tool that can be used which has a different data set is Hotjar, this provides heatmaps to show where users click, spend time on certain areas of a page and is more about user behaviour and what users do as a collective on your website.

Our first step for this would be to do a speed test and test the authenticity of your website content, which is essentially how much of your content is different from other websites. These two checks would be done using PageSpeed Insights and Siteliner. After this, the next step is to do a full website UX audit. The focus of this is much more in depth, using our experience to pinpoint where changes can be made on your site. These can include the likes of changing CTA placement, CTA language, navigation quality and even branding. This would then be presented and an next steps agreed. The final step is implementation.

Whilst these two areas can be seen under the same umbrella there are some stark differences. UX focuses more on the functionality of website where as UI is more about the visuals aspects of a website. When auditing the UX aspects of a website we would look at the user journey, namely how you can bring someone from initially looking at your website to becoming a lead. UI is more about how your website looks, essentially whether the interface reflects your branding.

It can vary with different marketing agencies, with us it is a simple £500 flat fee for the audit. There is additional cost for the changes off the back of the audit, but these don’t need to be done by ourselves.
